Rock N' Roll Comeback! Oasis Reunion Gathers Steam, But Liam Gallagher Sparks New Drama!

Andy Bell has officially confirmed his involvement in the highly anticipated Oasis reunion tour, set to embark on 41 dates across multiple continents in 2025. Bell, who previously played bass with Oasis from 1999 to 2009 and later with Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye, expressed his excitement to Austrian newspaper Oe24, stating, “I’m in and I’m really looking forward to it. We’ll see each other on tour.”
The reunited live band is expected to feature a strong lineup, with Bell joined by his Beady Eye bandmate and longtime collaborator Gem Archer on guitar. Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs is also slated to play guitar, and Joey Waronker will be on drums. This core group brings together a blend of past Oasis members and close associates of the Gallagher brothers, offering a familiar dynamic for the band’s return to the stage.
The extensive tour is scheduled to commence with stadium shows across the UK and Ireland in July 2025, before expanding globally. Support acts for various dates include Cast, Richard Ashcroft, Cage The Elephant, and Ball Park Music. A highlight of the UK leg will be three sold-out performances at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium on August 8, 9, and 12, with demand for tickets being exceptionally high, as 10 million people from over 100 countries attempted to secure a spot for the reunion, resulting in record-breaking sell-out times.
Despite the overwhelming success and excitement surrounding the comeback, Oasis’s manager Alec McKinlay has definitively ruled out the release of any new material by the band. McKinlay also quashed rumors of additional tour dates beyond the initial 41, emphasizing that the current run is “very much the last time around, as Noel’s made clear in the press.” He shared insights into the meticulous planning and secrecy that ensured the comeback announcement remained under wraps, noting the “phenomenal” public reaction as “finally, some good news.”
However, even as the 2025 tour progresses, speculation about Oasis’s future beyond the current dates continues. Weeks after the tour began, reports surfaced of offers for four massive shows at Knebworth House in 2026, commemorating the 30th anniversary of their iconic 1996 concerts. Additionally, rumors of a potential residency at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium for 2026 circulated online. Despite these lucrative offers and fan enthusiasm to “keep the magic going,” sources close to the band indicate that Noel and Liam are not considering any bookings for 2026, with plans for a “well-earned holiday” once the current tour concludes. Major promoters and festivals, including Coachella and Benicassim, have also reportedly made offers, which have so far been declined.
During their sold-out shows in Scotland, Liam Gallagher made several notable comments from the stage. He informed the audience that he had been banned from throwing his tambourine and maracas into the crowd, explaining that the decision stemmed from incidents where fans had behaved inappropriately. Liam also took the opportunity to openly criticize Edinburgh Council Chiefs, whom he claimed had branded Oasis fans as “fat, drunk, and rowdy” in leaked documents. He referred to the council as “f*****g slags” and dismissed the Edinburgh Fringe festival as “s****y card tricks” and “people juggling f*****g bollocks.” Liam further asserted that the band would bring “Two billion pounds” into the city over a few days, suggesting a significant economic impact, before performing the 1994 hit “Bring It On Down.”
