Richard Gere and his family are coordinating for an important cause!
The Longing star, 75, shared a rare family snap to Instagram featuring himself, his wife Alejandra Gere (née Silva) and their two young sons, Alexander, 6, and James, 5 — all wearing matching hoodies to support a nonprofit close to their hearts.
In the snap, which was shared by both the actor and his wife, 42, the family donned grey hoodies in support of Open Arms, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting those "who try to reach Europe by sea, fleeing from armed conflict, persecution or poverty," according to its website.
Both Gere and the activist were photographed smiling for the pic, as their two sons had their backs turned to the camera, showing off their matching Open Arms merch with a pup behind them all.
"This whole family is a proud supporter of @openarms_fund and their mission to save lives. ♥️," the joint post was captioned.
Gere and Alejandra wed during a secret ceremony in April 2018 and welcomed Alexander in February 2019, before adding James to the family in April 2020. Their blended family also includes Alejandra's elder son, Albert, born in 2012 from a previous relationship, and Gere's adult son Homer James Jigme, whom he shares with ex-wife Carey Lowell.
Alejandra marked a major milestone for their family back in March, when she shared a carousel of photos to Instagram in honor of their first official Spanish Father's Day, shortly after the family moved back to her home country of Spain. The post featured glimpses of the family running near the ocean with their two youngest kids, as well as a snap featuring Gere spending time with her son Albert.
"Happy 1st Spanish Father's Day to the dad of the world," Alejandra captioned the post.

Earlier this year, Alejandra shared some insight into the family's life in Spain and Gere's role as a dad while speaking with ELLE España. "Richard is a very devoted and present father. He loves to read them stories. It seems like an idyllic photo, but it’s true. He’s a great dad,” Silva said. "He doesn’t cook. I do it, but when I cook, he plays the guitar.”
"The truth is that you are seeing us in our momentum. We are happier than ever," Gere also said. "[Alejandra], because she is at home and I because, if she is happy, I am happy."
Following their late 2024 move, Alejandra spoke with the Daily Mail about how long they intend to reside in Spain for, confirming that they'll be there "for a few years" before making their way back to the U.S. eventually. “For a few years [we’ll live in Spain], and then come back,” she said. “But we're always coming back. We'll come back here in the summer because we have the kids at camp. We just have to balance our lives there and here."

As for Gere's eldest son, the actor joined Homer, 25, and Alejandra for a sweet family outing at City Harvest Presents The 2025 Gala: Carnaval at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City on April 22.
"I always love being with my son," the Pretty Woman star told PEOPLE of Homer at the time. "If we're out in the woods walking, if we're here doing something good for other people, I'm always happy to see him."
