Richard Gere Shares Rare Family Photo

Richard Gere, his wife Alejandra Gere (née Silva), and their two youngest sons, Alexander and James, recently posed for a rare family photo shared on Instagram to support the nonprofit Open Arms. The family coordinated in grey hoodies to promote the organization, which is dedicated to protecting individuals fleeing armed conflict, persecution, or poverty who attempt to reach Europe by sea.

The Instagram post, shared by both Richard and Alejandra, highlighted their support for Open Arms. Richard Gere, 75, is also the father to an adult son named Homer, while Alejandra, 42, has an elder son named Albert from a previous relationship. The couple wed in a private ceremony in April 2018 and welcomed Alexander in February 2019, followed by James in April 2020.

In March, Alejandra celebrated her first official Spanish Father's Day by sharing photos of the family, including glimpses of them running near the ocean with their two youngest children and Richard spending time with her son, Albert. The family had recently moved back to Alejandra's home country of Spain in late 2024 and plan to reside there for a few years before returning to the U.S.

Earlier this year, Alejandra shared insights into their life in Spain, noting Richard's devotion as a father who loves to read stories to their children. She emphasized that Richard is very present and that their family life is currently filled with happiness. Richard also expressed his contentment, stating that Alejandra's happiness leads to his own.

Richard Gere's eldest son, Homer, 25, joined him and Alejandra for a family outing at City Harvest Presents The 2025 Gala: Carnaval in New York City on April 22. Richard expressed his joy in spending time with Homer, whether they are walking in the woods or participating in charitable activities.
