The Olubadan designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has urged monarchs in Ibadanland to resist land grabbing, crisis and any act that can tarnish the image of the Olubadan stool, its advisory council and Ibadanland.

Oba Ladoja assured the public that any traditional ruler caught aiding and abetting land grabbing and other criminal acts would be seriously dealt with.

Speaking on behalf of the Olubadan designate, the Ekerin Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Amidu Ajibade, receiving the Royal Highnesses in Ibadanland at Olubadan Palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan, yesterday, advised the sons, daughters and residents of Ibadanland to continue to pray for peaceful co-existence, unity, progress and development of Ibadanland.

He said: “You must realise that anywhere you are, you are representing the Olubadan of Ibadanland, his Advisory Council and Ibadanland at large. Consequently, you must monitor the Mogajis and Baales under you to protect the dignity and integrity of Ibadanland.”

The Alakinyele of Akinyele, Oba James Odeniran, said they were at the palace to register their condolences on the passage of  Oba Olakulehin and to pledge their allegiance to the incoming Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Present at the meeting were Oba Kolawole Adegbola, Otun Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Dauda Abiodun Azeez, the Ashipa Balogun of Ibadanland, Royal Highnesses, Mogajis and Baales among others.
