Speaking on TV3’s Ghana Tonight with Alfred Ocansey on Monday, March 24, Dr. Srem-Sai dismissed the allegations as baseless, stating that no official complaint has been lodged with the police.

“I would expect that the Minority will advise Dr. Addison to take steps to report to the police. If you [Minority] have chosen not to make any report, yet you want to force the public to accept your allegations of theft in the former central bank governor’s home, that is not right,” he argued.

He emphasized that Dr. Addison’s own stance contradicts the claims of the Minority, suggesting that some MPs have fabricated stories and falsely attributed them to the former governor.

Dr. Srem-Sai insisted that any claims of stolen money, food, or jewellery must be officially reported for proper investigation.

“If it is true that officials went there to steal food, jewellery, or money, the person who has lost these things has a duty to report to the police so an investigation can be conducted,” he stated.

He maintained that it is only fair for the Minority to provide evidence to support their allegations.

Meanwhile, Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine has strongly defended the legality of the search, refuting claims that it was an unlawful raid. He also cautioned Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin against making false accusations that tarnish the reputation of law enforcement agencies.
