A Member of the House of Representatives representing Ekiti Central Constituency 1, Fatoba Olusola Steve, has urged Governor Biodun Oyebanji not to relent in serving the people following endorsements for a second term by various groups and leaders.

Fatoba spoke with journalists in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday, a day after the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting of Ekiti Central Senatorial District endorsed the governor for a second term.

The lawmaker hailed Oyebanji’s giant strides in sectors such as education, health, infrastructure, and agriculture, among others, adding that all these efforts are geared towards improving the lives of Ekiti residents.

He also highlighted some fundamental projects executed by the governor, including the completion of Ekiti Cargo Airport, the construction of communal roads, and prioritizing the welfare of Ekiti residents.

Fatoba, however, implored the governor to continue his good works, saying his constituency is ready to ensure that the state’s helmsman wins the gubernatorial election in 2026.

His words: “The governor has made us understand that continuity is the best form of government, and if you go to every nook and cranny of Ekiti Central Senatorial District, you will see development everywhere.

“We are backing his continuity because, as you can see, all the developments that have taken place from the time of former governors in the state are being consolidated by him. Apart from this, he has brought governance closer to the people.

“The Ekiti Cargo Airport can now be compared to any international airport. Ado Ekiti is very different, and all the benefits of our time will not pass us by.

“On behalf of my people here in Ado Local Government and the Central Senatorial District, we are supporting our dear governor, and he should continue his good works.”
