Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has publicly declared her disinterest in remarriage following her high-profile separation from estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko. The 25-year-old mother of two, however, remains resolute in her desire to have more children, specifically a daughter, stating, “I must have a girl.” Daniels expressed these sentiments during a recent livestream with TikToker Jarvis and also at her Children’s Day carnival in Asaba, Delta State.

Daniels, who currently has two sons, revealed her aspiration to have a total of six children. She elaborated on her strong yearning for a daughter, explaining that she believes daughters tend to care more for their parents in old age and maintain stronger emotional ties to their homes compared to sons. She articulated, “Men will grow, get married and focus more on building family. But for women, she will always remember home.” Furthermore, she feels that “motherhood starts better” and one truly understands motherhood “when you have a girl child.” Daniels added that while it's easier to groom boys with a father figure as a role model, a mother must be that role model for her girl child.

Interestingly, Daniels shared that her perspective on having a daughter has evolved. She initially never wanted a girl child before becoming a mother. “Before I had my first son, I said no, never. I will never have a girl child. Never, ever. But after my first, after my second, I remember, for some reason, it’s female kids that remember,” she recounted.

Her marriage to Delta State lawmaker, Senator Ned Nwoko, began in 2019 when Daniels was just 19 years old. This union garnered significant public attention due to the notable age gap of approximately 40 years between the actress and the billionaire politician. They welcomed two sons during their marriage. However, their relationship publicly unraveled in late 2025 amidst a flurry of serious allegations. Nwoko claimed the actress was struggling with drug and alcohol abuse, necessitating rehabilitation. Regina Daniels swiftly refuted these allegations, accusing Nwoko of manipulation, psychological control, and abuse. Shortly after, she exited the marriage, moving into her own residence, and has since maintained her single status.
