Real Madrid's Shocking Bid for Osimhen Amid Vinicius Drama!
)
Real Madrid is reportedly preparing for a significant overhaul of its attacking lineup, with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen emerging as a prime target. This strategic move is reportedly accelerated by growing tensions between star forward Vinicius Jnr and head coach Xabi Alonso, which have led to a freeze in contract renewal negotiations for the Brazilian.
Spanish reports from Fichajes indicate that Real Madrid is considering a substantial bid exceeding €100 million for Galatasaray's in-form striker Victor Osimhen. The 26-year-old is viewed as a crucial component for the club's long-term tactical restructuring, offering a powerful, proven, aggressive, and instinctive style of play that aligns with Madrid's desire for a consistent and physically dominant No. 9. Osimhen has demonstrated his immediate impact since joining Galatasaray, netting nine goals in 12 matches across domestic and Champions League competitions.
Furthermore, the arrival of Osimhen is seen as a key factor in optimizing Kylian Mbappé's performance. Mbappé, who has reportedly struggled when deployed centrally, would be able to return to his preferred left-wing role, a position where he achieved global stardom. However, a significant obstacle remains Galatasaray's financial demands. The Turkish club, having invested €75 million to acquire Osimhen from Napoli last summer, is reportedly seeking a minimum of €140 million and is unwilling to negotiate below this figure.
The pursuit of Osimhen is closely linked to Vinicius Jnr's discontent at Real Madrid. Despite his contract running until June 2027, renewal talks have stalled after months of negotiations. Earlier in 2025, Real Madrid offered a long-term deal worth approximately €20 million net per year, but Vinicius's representatives pushed for a package closer to €30 million annually, a figure comparable to Cristiano Ronaldo's peak earnings. Discussions eventually collapsed, with The Athletic reporting that Vinicius privately informed president Florentino Pérez that he would not sign a new deal while his relationship with Alonso remained strained.
The feud between Vinicius and Alonso escalated during a recent El Clásico match, where the Brazilian publicly displayed his frustration after being substituted, accusing Alonso of "always" taking him off. His subsequent public apology notably omitted the coach's name. While Alonso insists the matter is "closed," club sources suggest the tension is very real. With Real Madrid unwilling to allow internal disputes to dictate its future and Vinicius's renewal becoming increasingly uncertain, Osimhen is now considered not only a tactical enhancement but also a potential long-term successor to a player whose future at the club appears less secure than ever.
