Radda commends Tinubu, others for two-day visit to Katsina
Katsina State Governor, Dr Dikko Radda has extended special appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for honouring his invitation to commssion two major projects executed by his administration.
The governor also thanked Tinubu for gracing the wedding fatiha of his daughter, Aisha to Ahmed Usman, and standing in as guardian for the bride’s family.
A statement issued by a spokesperson to the governor, Ibrahim Mohammed quoted the governor as saying the president’s attendance at the ceremony was a profound gesture of goodwill that his family would forever cherish.
“We are deeply honoured that President Tinubu stood as Waliyi for my daughter during this significant occasion. His presence added immeasurable value to the celebration and demonstrated the strong bond between our families,” the state quoted the governor to have said.
“Furthermore, Governor Radda expressed heartfelt thanks to his fellow governors, distinguished senators and members of the House of Representatives, honourable ministers, presidential appointees, business leaders, and well-wishers who traveled from far and near to grace these occasions.
According to the governor, “Your presence has strengthened the ties that bind us as a people and as a nation. The solidarity shown by leaders across political divides reflects our shared commitment to Nigeria’s progress.”
The statement also said the governor expressed warm gratitude to the people of the state for their overwhelming turnout during the president’s visit.
“The governor commended the citizens for their warm reception and exemplary display of Katsina’s hospitality, which contributed largely to the success of the president’s visit.”
Quoting Radda, the statement said, “The massive turnout of our people to welcome President Tinubu signifies our unity and commitment to the development of our dear state.
“Your enthusiasm and support have sent a clear message about Katsina’s readiness to partner with the Federal Government for accelerated growth and development.”
It said the governor assured people of the state that the newly commissioned projects were tip of the iceberg, adding that new developmental projects were in the offing for inauguration.
“The governor reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to implementing people-oriented projects that will improve the quality of life for all residents of Katsina State, in line with his development agenda,” the statement added.
During his stay, Tinubu commissioned two key infrastructure projects: the Katsina State Agricultural Mechanization Centre and the 24-kilometer Eastern Bypass.
