The return of these highly anticipated purple uniforms marked a significant occasion, as it was the first time the team paired the jerseys with a unique Purple Rain-inspired decal prominently displayed at center court inside the Target Center. The Timberwolves originally introduced this Prince-themed look during the 2018–19 NBA season, a collaboration between the team, the Prince Estate, and Nike. This successful partnership has now returned for the 2025–26 campaign, bringing an updated design to the court.

The current iteration of the uniforms features thoughtful details that celebrate Prince's legacy. A distinctive paisley pattern adorns the right shoulder, serving as a direct reference to the artist’s famous Purple Rain jacket.
