Primark's 'stylish' £10 sandals 'just like' £550 designer shoes
Primark is stocking a pair of Rita Ora sandals that look very similar to a designer brand. The retailer, known for its affordable fashion and beauty collections, may have a new crowd-pleaser in stores.
The Rita Ora Studded Toe Loop Sandals from Primark bear a striking resemblance to a style by luxury brand Isabel Marant but at a fraction of the price. Shoppers can bag the Primark version for £10, while the designer alternative retails at £550 online.
Both pairs boast matching brown, asymmetrical straps and ankle strap-style designs, complete with gold-tone hardware and a toe loop. Both straps also feature a suede-like material.
However, there are some notable differences between the two. The designer shoes sport flat gold studs, which are absent on Primark's versions. Additionally, the Isabel Marant version is crafted from real leather, unlike Primark's shoes, reports the Daily Record.
Primark describes the sandals as "toe loop sandals with golden tone studs, a flat sole and adjustable ankle strap from the Rita Ora collection." They are available in either tan or black.
The full product description from Primark reads: "Keep your steps stylish this summer with these toe loop sandals from the Rita Ora collection. Designed with brown slim asymmetrical straps, they wrap neatly across the foot. The adjustable ankle strap ensures a secure fit, while golden tone studs add a touch of shine.
"A flat sole keeps things comfy for all-day wear, whether you're heading to the beach or out for brunch. Pair with everything from floaty dresses to cropped jeans to give your outfit a dose of celebrity style."
The official description for the designer sandals reads: "Isabel Marant's 'Jiona' sandals are the perfect complement to the label's signature bohemian dresses. Crafted in Italy from supple leather, they're traced with gold-tone studs and have a wraparound profile. Find the perfect fit using the adjustable buckles."
Primark's Rita Ora Studded Toe Loop Sandals retail for £10, while the Isabel Marant Jiona studded leather slingback sandals come in at £550. This means shoppers could save £540 by opting for the cheaper alternative.
Shoppers can now get their hands on the Primark shoes, in black or tan, in stores. Shoppers can check stock levels at their closest store or opt for Click and Collect here.
