Presidential Shake-Up: Tinubu Installs New Leadership Across Key Federal Agencies

President Bola Tinubu has officially sanctioned the appointment of new leadership for three critical Federal Government agencies, as announced in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja. The information was disseminated by Mr. Segun Imohiosen, who serves as the Director of Information and Public Relations within the Office of the Secretary to the Government.
Among the key appointments, Mr. Bello Bawa Bwari has been designated as the Director-General of the National Biosafety Management Agency. This appointment is set for an initial tenure of four years and will become effective from September 18, 2025.
In a related development, Mr. Aminu Junaidu has been appointed as the Chairman of the Investment and Security Tribunal. His term of office is stipulated for five years, also commencing on September 18, 2025.
Furthermore, Mr. Olayiwola Nurudeen Awakan will take up the role of Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation. This position is for an initial four-year term, with an effective start date of September 2, 2025.
According to Mr. Imohiosen, these strategic appointments are a clear demonstration of President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to bolster crucial sectors and institutions across Nigeria. The President has urged all newly appointed officials to leverage their extensive expertise and capabilities to foster the growth and development of their respective agencies, thereby contributing significantly to national progress and advancement.
