Published 13 hours ago1 minute read

The Presidency Communications Office has announced the launch of a new initiative, The Government Accountability Series, aimed at deepening transparency and accountability in governance.

The series, which begins on Monday, July 14, 2025, will provide a platform for key sector ministers to present Mid-Year updates on their respective portfolios and offer the public a tentative appraisal of government performance over the past six months.

According to the Presidency Spokesperson and Minister of State for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye-Ofosu, the initiative will run three times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays — at 11 a.m.

The inaugural session will feature Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, who will provide insights into developments and interventions within the country’s security and interior sectors.

The Government Accountability Series is expected to serve as a regular mechanism for fostering dialogue between government and the citizenry, while reinforcing the administration’s commitment to openness and responsive governance.
