The Presidency has lauded the leadership of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) for its proactive efforts in promoting digital literacy and creating employment opportunities for young Nigerians.

This commendation was delivered during a visit by a delegation from the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Mr. Dada Olusegun, to the President of DBI, Mr. Daser David, over the weekend in Abuja.

According to Soji Fagbemi, Head of Public Affairs at DBI, the visit was aimed at formally inviting Mr. David to serve as a Distinguished Guest of Honour at the upcoming Progressive Digital Media Summit, as well as to explore a strategic partnership with the institute—widely recognised as Nigeria’s foremost ICT training and digital education centre.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Theresa Tekena praised Mr. David’s visionary leadership and rapid transformation of the institute since taking office.

She noted that his innovative approach has repositioned DBI as a key player in the national drive toward digital advancement and that his presence at the summit would serve as a major source of inspiration to participants.

The President’s Special Assistant said, “Your exemplary leadership as President/CEO of the Digital Bridge Institute, coupled with DBI’s pioneering efforts in delivering world-class ICT training and empowering Nigerians with cutting-edge digital skills, positions you as an inspirational figure for this occasion.

“We respectively invite you to share insights on how DBI’s transformative programs in digital literacy, data analytics, and e-commerce can amplify the Renewed Hope Agenda, fostering a digitally empowered society through innovative media strategies.”

While soliciting the partnership and support of DBI, Mr Olusegun maintained that the contributions of the DBI President would, in no small measure, inspire the participants.

He said, “Your contributions will inspire participants, reinforce the Summit’s mission of advancing digital innovation, amplify the Renewed Hope Agenda,” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government.

According to him, his support would play a vital role in ensuring the success of the event, which would engage over 1,000 in-person attendees and also reach millions of people virtually.

The President’s Special Assistant also believed that his partnership would spotlight DBI’s vital role in shaping Nigeria’s digital future.

In his response, the DBI President commended the Special Assistant and acknowledged his efforts to ensure that Nigerians are well aware of President Tinubu’s good work to revamp the nation’s economy.

Mr. David assured the delegation that the DBI, under his leadership, would fully participate in the event and ensure its success.

He expressed confidence that the summit would provide a platform for the dissemination of the core policies and programmes of President Tinubu to Nigerians and those in diaspora.
