Premier League Titans Man Utd & Liverpool Scout Dortmund Star Nmecha!

Borussia Dortmund's highly-regarded midfielder, Felix Nmecha, is currently the subject of renewed interest from several prominent Premier League clubs. Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly assessing the Germany international, with both clubs evaluating their midfield options ahead of the upcoming winter transfer window. Manchester United has been tracking Nmecha for some time and has already made contact, while Liverpool views him as a potential alternative should they fail to secure Bournemouth's Alex Scott.

Beyond these two giants, Chelsea and Tottenham are also among the clubs that have monitored Nmecha's progress, and Newcastle United, Manchester City, and Arsenal have kept tabs on him over the past year. Nmecha, who is 26 years old, previously spent over a decade in Manchester City's academy before making his move to the Bundesliga, first with Wolfsburg and then to Borussia Dortmund, where he has solidified his reputation as a versatile central midfielder known for his energy and ability to contribute effectively at both ends of the pitch.

Despite the considerable Premier League attention, Borussia Dortmund remains firm in its stance regarding Nmecha. The player signed a contract extension through June 2030 earlier this year and is considered a regular starter under coach Niko Kovac. Sources indicate that Dortmund views Nmecha as an integral part of their long-term strategic plans and is under no pressure to sell. There is no release clause active for a January transfer, with an €80 million clause only becoming available in the summer of 2027. Current valuations for the midfielder are reported to be in the range of €90-100 million, or up to £84.2 million / $112.1 million.

Sporting director Ole Book has previously stated that a sale is highly unlikely. Given Nmecha's long-term contract and consistent starting role, Dortmund is not expected to entertain a mid-season departure. Consequently, a realistic transfer move is considered more probable at the end of the current season rather than in the coming weeks. For now, Nmecha is anticipated to remain at Signal Iduna Park as Borussia Dortmund continues to compete across multiple fronts.
