Premier League's Unsung Heroes: Bournemouth, Sunderland, and Tottenham Shockingly Exceed Expectations

The current Premier League season has brought a refreshing change with several teams exceeding initial expectations, notably Bournemouth and Sunderland. Tottenham Hotspur also features prominently in this list of over-achievers, defying early predictions and showcasing significant progress under new leadership.
Despite some sporadic disappointing performances, particularly in home matches, the transition for Tottenham under Thomas Frank was never expected to be instantaneous. Few Spurs fans anticipated the team to be occupying third place at this stage of the season. While a degree of criticism from supporters persists, often calling for enhanced creativity in open play, it is acknowledged that fundamental issues needed to be addressed first.
Frank's primary objective upon his arrival at Tottenham was to rectify the glaring problems of the previous season, which included conceding too many goals and being perceived as an easy opponent. He has demonstrably achieved this, as evidenced by the team's evolution throughout the season. The 'Thomas Frank effect' is clearly visible: Tottenham has transformed into a defensively well-organised unit, exhibiting considerable strength in set-piece situations.
