Liverpool superstar Salah, Chelsea’s Jackson, Manchester United’s Onana, and Amad Diallo will miss crucial fixtures due to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in December and January.

The 2025 AFCON was scheduled to take place in June and July, but the expanded Club World Cup took that slot. It couldn't be held in June and July 2026 due to the World Cup in North America.

This year's tournament will take place between December 21 and conclude on January 18. Morocco will face Comoros in the opening match.

The 2025 edition will coincide with the Premier League's most important and busiest period. Salah will be the most high-profile player to jet to Morocco for the tournament.

With Liverpool attempting to challenge for the title next season, losing the winger could be detrimental. Egypt will face South Africa, Angola, and Zimbabwe.

The Egyptian could miss up to six games, including trips to Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal. Other matches the Premier League winner will miss are Wolves, Leeds, Fulham, and Burnley.

Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush will also join Salah in the Pharaohs' squad

Onana could also miss seven games if Cameroon advances to the final. Some of the games he could miss could be against Manchester City. He could also miss games against Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Wolves, Leeds United, and Burnley.

The Red Devils will reportedly be looking to move the goalkeeper who has struggled at Old Trafford. Amad Diallo could also miss these games if he is called up to the Ivory Coast squad. Noussair Mazraoui will represent Morocco.

If they sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, he could also miss as many as five games since he is a key player for Cameroon.

Jackson will likely be called up to the Senegal national team and could be unavailable against Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Manchester City, Fulham, and Brentford (home).

Liam Delap was signed a few weeks ago to provide competition, meaning he will hold down the fort until Jackson returns.

Fulham will be without Nigerian duo Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, while Tottenham could be without Mali's Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr.

Earlier, reported that a supercomputer predicted the final Premier League table of the 2025/26 season.

Liverpool were backed to win the Premier League again, with Manchester City finishing second and third, respectively.

The supercomputer also predicted Man United and Tottenham to finish 14th and 15th
