Pre-Chelsea stats: Mo Salah eyeing Premier League goal involvements record

Mohamed Salah needs one more goal involvement to equal the all-time record for a single Premier League campaign.

Salah – who has already broken the record for a 38-game season – has produced 28 goals and 18 assists in the 2024-25 top flight thus far.

The Egyptian's next goal involvement will see him level the competition's overall best of 47 by Andrew Cole in 1993-94 and Alan Shearer in 1994-95 across 42 matches.

Opta and club statistician Ged Rea have provided more facts and figures to know ahead of Liverpool's trip to Chelsea on Sunday below…

The No.11 is two assists away from equalling the competition's record for most assists in a season. Thierry Henry (2002-03) and Kevin De Bruyne (2019-20) both tallied 20.

Andy Robertson could make his 250th top-flight appearance for the Reds.

After the 2-1 win in October, Liverpool are looking to complete their first league double over Chelsea since their last title-winning campaign of 2019-20.

The champions have netted in each of their last 30 Premier League matches since the 1-0 defeat by Nottingham Forest in September. The only team to have a longer scoring run within a single campaign was Arsenal in 2001-02 by scoring in all 38 fixtures.

Luis Diaz has scored in each of his two Premier League starts against Chelsea, netting home and away last term.

Chelsea have picked up 17 points in their last eight league outings (five wins, two draws, one loss), having collected just nine points from their previous 10.

Chelsea are winless in their last 10 meetings with the Reds in all competitions (seven draws, three losses).
