Pop-up house music gig comes to Limerick city for one night only

A MUSIC collective of Limerick natives is returning to their home county for a pop-up session.

Headzy Bop, the house music events brand, returns to Limerick on Saturday, June 7, for a special event at Dolan’s Kasbah.

After building momentum with a string of secret events around the Gold Coast, Australia and a sold-out debut in Limerick last year, Headzy Bop is back to celebrate where it all began, and bring something a little different to the local music scene.

“Growing up in Limerick, Dolan’s was one of the only venues where you could find quality electronic music events” says Intka, the man behind Headzy Bop.

“Nights like D.I.E. and Macronite were some of the first opportunities we had to experience what has now become our passion, and coming back to run an event there is really exciting.

“We’ll be bringing our evolved sound and energy back to a place that inspired us.”

The event promises a night of deep minimal tech, chunky house, and rolling basslines served with warmth, soul, and that unmistakable Headzy Bop energy - it’s for a crowd that’s all about the music.

With roots in the bush doof scene and a growing community between Ireland and Australia, Headzy Bop is building inclusive spaces where everyone is welcome and a carefully curated music program is accompanied by a good helping of fun, joy and laughter.
