Political Stability: Ganduje Quashes Defection Rumours, Reaffirms Loyalty to APC
Former APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has strongly denied rumors of his defection to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). He labels the circulating posters as false and politically motivated misinformation, reaffirming his loyalty to the APC and warning of legal action against those responsible.
Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has vehemently refuted allegations circulating on social media claiming his defection to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). Ganduje unequivocally stated his unwavering commitment to the ruling party, dismissing the circulating posters as false and politically motivated.
In a statement released by Muhammad Garba, his chief of staff, Ganduje emphasized that these claims are part of a calculated misinformation campaign designed to mislead the public, sow confusion among party supporters, and ignite unwarranted political speculation. He asserted that he has never contemplated leaving the APC, a party he once held a leadership position in as National Chairman, stressing that any reports linking him to the NDC lack both political and logical foundation.
Ganduje further highlighted that the APC remains the largest political party in Nigeria, consistently attracting support under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He reiterated his dedication to collaborating with the party's leadership to advance the administration's 'Renewed Hope Agenda'.
Moreover, the former APC chairman disclosed that the individuals responsible for the creation and dissemination of these alleged defection posters have been identified. He issued a stern warning that legal action would be pursued if these materials are not promptly withdrawn and the spread of such baseless claims is not immediately halted. Ganduje urged all party members, supporters, and the general public to disregard these posters, affirming that they do not accurately represent his political stance or future intentions.
