Police Are Responding To Fatal Crash, Runcorn | Mirage News

The Forensic Crash Unit's investigations are ongoing into a fatal incident involving a train and a bicycle rider this morning in Runcorn, June 2.

Police and emergency services were called to the level crossing at Nathan Road and Penarth Street around 4.30am.

The bicycle rider, a 69-year-old Runcorn man, sustained head injuries and died at the scene.

Road closures and diversions were in place, but all are now reopened.

There are no other reports of injuries.

Investigations are continuing.
