[PHOTOS] Ruto arrives in Lugari for church service
President William Ruto has arrived in Lugari, Kakamega, for the special church service and the annual Kivaywa yearly meeting organised by the Friends Quakers and the Matete Christian Fellowship.
It is being held at Friends' Comprehensive School, Kivaywa.
Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera and Governor Fernandes Barasa will host the leaders.
National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja and his Bungoma counterpart Ken Lusaka are among those attending, including several other elected leaders from the region.
Today’s visit adds to a series of engagements the President has held in the county and the wider Western region.
