Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen on Monday visited Kasarani and Nyayo stadiums to assess their preparedness for the CHAN 2025 tournament.

The CS was accompanied by Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya among other leaders.

He commended the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports for the timely completion of renovations of the stadiums and training grounds.

“With over 18 African countries expected to participate, this tournament will showcase Kenya's sporting prowess and hospitality before a global audience,” he said.

The CS said the ministry has implemented comprehensive measures to ensure the safety of participating teams, officials, and fans.

He added that key security arrangements include the installation of high-tech CCTV cameras at stadiums, controlled access points, crowd control measures, emergency response teams, and a coordinated presence of security personnel throughout the venues.
