Ho Chi Minh City Wings (VBA) added to their roster experienced 38-year old Filipino point guard James Martinez (170cm-79kg-1987). He played last summer at Thunders in Thailand TBL league. In 5 games he recorded very impressive stats: 25.0ppg, 2.2rpg, 5.4apg and 1.6spg. He also played for another Thailand team Phuket Master Whales (TBL) in Thailand.
Martinez has played also in Philippines (North Port, Cebuana Lhuillier and Cobra Energy Drink Iron Men), Philippines and Thailand (Kabayan and Pilipinas).
He won Thailand Basketball League championship title in 2023.
Martinez is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at City Wings.
