Peter Andre's wife Emily speaks out about Katie Price rant saying 'I know I'm not their mum'
Peter Andre's wife Emily MacDonagh, has broken her silence after Katie Price's explosive rant regarding Princess' 18th birthday. Last week the former glamour model slammed her ex-husband Peter and his management for allegedly not allowing her to attend their daughter's birthday party.
Speaking to her sister, Sophie, on their podcast about Princess' birthday, she spoke about her daughter's new reality TV show. Katie stated: "Everyone knows she's doing this documentary - and I'm not in it. Certain people don't think it's good for Princess to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me."
Emily, who is Princess' step mum, never speaks out about Katie and rarely ever mentions her stepchildren publicly. However, she has now spoken out after Katie's rant, in a candid chat with Giovanna Fletcher, the Mirror reports.
Speaking on Giovanna's podcast, Happy Mum Happy Baby, Emily said she know she's not Princess and Junior's mum. Instead the 35-year-old has said she tries to be "more like a big sister".
She stated: "I always feel like, you know, I'm not their mum, and that's something I always have to make sure I tread carefully with. I always see it, I think I would see it a bit more like being a big sister."
"I don't know if that's the right way to look at it, but I think, you know, I always try and give them guidance, but I wouldn’t overstep that. I obviously try and support them like I would do with my own kids," Emily continued.
"I always try and be the same. I’m quite strict though, on my kids. That's what I would say to the older kids -it's lucky there's an age gap, you know? Because then you guys don’t need to worry about, like, silly rules I have - screen time and stuff like that. I’m like, you guys can be exempt because you're older. The age gap is enough that my kids don’t ask the question, 'Well, why are they allowed to have the screens?”'

Katie was furious last week after she claimed she had been unfairly treated over her daughter, Princess. The mum-of-five kicked off her podcast wishing her eldest daughter a happy birthday, before she went on to say: "Princess is now officially an adult so mummy and Princess can now go out together. If certain people would let her be seen with me."
"Everyone knows she's doing this documentary - and I'm not in it. Certain people don't think it's good for Princess to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me."
To which her sister replied: "You aren't on brand Katie. You are too risky Katie that's why." Before Katie snapped at her replying: "It's pathetic. I'm her mother."
"It's so sad," she continued. "When certain people who used to look after me are now looking after..." Katie was cut off from finishing her sentence by her sister Sophie who quickly told her to "save it for another day."
