Pete Davidson's Dream Come True: Expecting First Child with Elsie Hewitt

Comedian Pete Davidson, 31, and model Elsie Hewitt, 29, are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child, marking a significant new chapter for the couple. Hewitt initially broke the news on Wednesday, July 16, taking to Instagram to share her pregnancy with a series of intimate photos and ultrasound videos of the expectant parents. Her announcement was playfully captioned, “Welp now everyone knows we had sex,” a characteristic touch from the model and influencer who has largely kept her relationship with Davidson private.
Davidson, who does not use social media, officially confirmed the news and shared his profound excitement about impending fatherhood in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on July 22. “I honestly couldn’t be more excited,” Pete revealed. “It’s been my dream forever since I was a little kid. The baby’s mother is one of my favorite people to ever exist ever. She’s going to be a great mom and I’m just stoked. I hope to be the dad I hoped that I would have.” Later the same evening, during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Davidson further reflected on his emotional state, remarking, “Everything else doesn’t really matter anymore. It’s nice.”
The desire to become a father has long been a cherished goal for Davidson. In a 2022 conversation with fellow comedian Kevin Hart, he stated, “My favorite thing ever, which I have yet to achieve, is I want to have a kid. It’s like my dream.” He added his excitement about the prospect, saying, “It would be so fun to dress up a little dude. I’m so excited for, like, that chapter. So that’s kind of what I’m just preparing for now. I’m trying to be as good as a dude and develop and get better so when that happens, it’s just easier.” This aspiration holds a deeper meaning for Davidson, whose father, a New York City firefighter, tragically passed away during the September 11, 2001, attacks when Pete was only seven years old—a loss he has often spoken about publicly. According to a source for E! News, Davidson’s mother, Amy Waters, is “thrilled” about the pregnancy and “can’t wait to become a grandma!”
Davidson and Hewitt’s relationship timeline has mostly remained out of the public eye, a stark contrast to Davidson’s previous highly publicized romances with celebrities like Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, and Madelyn Cline. The Associated Press reported that the couple was first publicly linked in March, after being spotted together in Palm Springs. Days later, Hewitt made their relationship Instagram official with a candid photo of Davidson, and they have since made occasional red carpet appearances and shared playful public displays of affection. Hewitt, who has been previously linked to Ryan Phillippe, Benny Blanco, and Jason Sudeikis, has also openly shared her personal health journey, including undergoing surgery for endometriosis in November and discussing her symptoms and pain on TikTok in December, noting how the condition has impacted her work opportunities.
The news has been met with an outpouring of congratulations from friends and fans alike. Rapper Machine Gun Kelly, a close friend of Davidson for several years, expressed his excitement by commenting on Hewitt’s post, “These playdates bout to hittttt.” MGK, who himself welcomed a daughter earlier this year with his ex-girlfriend Megan Fox, had previously indicated Davidson would be a groomsman in his wedding. Hewitt’s best friend, model Meredith Mickelson, also shared her joy, writing, “My bestie is having my mini bestie which means my life is complete.” She later added, “HEHEHEHEHEHE. I’M SO HAPPY. BEST MOMMY EVERRRRR.” The collective warmth and support highlight the widespread happiness for Davidson and Hewitt as they prepare to welcome their child.
