PDP, APC dismiss ADC's relevance - Daily Trust

Leaders of the two dominant parties remain dismissive of ADC’s prospects in Plateau.

Simon Domle, PDP chairman of Plateau South, said the ADC lacked credibility and described its founders as political opportunists.

“As PDP, we don’t term ADC to be anything. We are only watching them, but we are guided by informing and enlightening our people about the questionable motives of those who formed the party,” Domle said.

“Those who formed the party have been in leadership for so many years but couldn’t do anything to salvage the country,” he added.

Domle further said, “What happened to PDP? What happened to the PDP that forced them to leave? They’re only trying to destroy the party that built them. ADC is on tour to deceive Nigerians, but they have nothing to face the PDP as a party. We’re not afraid of their presence, even if any.”

Comrade Bancir Jibrin, an APC stalwart, said the ADC lacked the grassroots support and credibility to compete.

“Actually, ADC will not make any impact in Plateau because the two major political parties are still on the ground. APC has its structure rooted in the ground,” he said.

“Secondly, the recent defections of key stakeholders from PDP to APC are an indication that ADC isn’t making any impact in Plateau because people would have expected that they would move to ADC. So, I don’t think that party will exist in Plateau State,” Bancir added.
