Pay 6% of shortfall as charges for not maintaining average monthly balance in this bank from August 1, 2025 - The Economic Times
“Dear customer, effective 1st Aug 2025, the non-maintenance charge for Monthly Average Balance will be 6% of the MAB shortfall amount (up to a maximum of Rs 500). The MAB for DBS Bank Savings Account remains unchanged at Rs 10,000. Please maintain the required MAB to avoid charges.,” said DBS Bank in its SMS communication to its customers.
DBS India said on its website that starting August 1, 2025, the non-maintenance charges will change depending upon the variant of the savings account that you have. Here’s a table showing the latest charges:

With effect from May 1, 2025, following the RBI notification that permits banks to charge a maximum fee of Rs 23 per ATM cash withdrawal transactions beyond the free limit, DBS Bank has updates its fees. They will now charge Rs 23 per non-DBS Bank ATM cash withdrawal transactions beyond the free limit. However, withdrawals at DBS Bank ATMs remain free. You can withdraw cash an unlimited number of times without any fees,
“We would like to bring to your kind attention that ATM cash withdrawal fees have been increased to Rs 23 per transaction, effective from 1st May 2025, as per the guidelines issued by Reserve Bank of India (RBI),” said DBS Bank in an email to its customers in May 2025.
The RBI had said on March 28, 2025: "Beyond the free transactions, a customer may be charged a maximum fee of Rs 23 per transaction. This shall be effective from May 1, 2025. Applicable taxes, if any, shall be additionally payable…," the notification says.
