Pastor Declares Hilda Baci's Jollof Record an Act of 'Christ-like' Virtue

Bolaji Idowu, the Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre, has lauded celebrity chef Hilda Baci as a remarkable embodiment of Christian values. This praise comes as Baci embarks on a new challenge to set a world record by cooking what is anticipated to be the largest pot of Nigerian jollof rice. Pastor Idowu personally visited Baci at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos on a Friday, extending spiritual support to her ambitious endeavor.
Addressing journalists at the venue, Pastor Idowu articulated his admiration for Baci's efforts, stating, “What I feel is that she is demonstrating the values of Christ, because ‘I can do all things through Christ and all things are possible.’” He further elaborated on the profound impact of her journey, adding, “I love her story because Hilda reminds me that despite your background, despite your pains, despite your trauma and limitations, you can actually do the impossible if you only believe.” Earlier, the cleric was observed offering prayers for Baci, underscoring his deep spiritual endorsement.
Pastor Idowu also highlighted the widespread influence of Baci’s accomplishments, emphasizing, “Hilda’s story is a story that inspires women all across the world.” Baci first achieved global recognition in May 2023 when she successfully broke the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest cooking marathon. Her previous record-breaking cook-a-thon captivated the nation, drawing immense support from thousands, including prominent government officials, celebrities, and religious leaders, solidifying her status as a symbol of Nigerian culinary excellence and unwavering resilience.
