XI'AN (China) - Top seed Partizan (SRB) headline a loaded 16-team field at the FIBA 3x3 Xi'an Challenger 2025 on May 17-18.

Let's preview the fourth Challenger of the season.

The Favorites

Partizan have top billing for good reason after a final four finish at the recent Lusail Challenger. They will unleash the best player in Xi'an with superstar Stefan Milivojevic looking to continue his outrageous early season form that started with MVP at the Champions Cup.

Partizan's quest for a first title on this season's pro circuit won't be easy with No.2 seed Chongming (CHN) also bringing a squad full of talent. The confident Chinese team made a dazzling semi-final run at the Chengdu Masters with Dianliang Zhang putting up monster numbers.

Third seed Ulaanbaatar (MGL) made the quarters in Chengdu with Dulguun Enkhbat proving unstoppable and he will team up with Anand Ariunbold aka 'The Archer' as he adjusts his radar right in time for Xi'an.

We just have to put rising Shinagawa CITY EXE (JPN) among the contenders after they claimed the season-opener Baoding Challenger in style.

Jan Demsar was MVP on that occasion after a sublime performance, but teammate Ryo Ozawa might just get his hands on the trophy this time around if he catches fire like he did in a historic effort at the Asia Cup.

The Field

Any team from 3x3 power Latvia has to be taken seriously and emerging Kandava Turiba (LAT) areno exception and it's a similar story with lethal Lithuanians Marijampole MANTINGA (LTU).

Shanghai (CHN) will fancy their chances of a giant-killing run especially if Yuanbo Zhu takes the aerial route.

There are six teams in the QD and plenty of interest surrounds Marbella (ESP), who boast sniper Jose Blazquez, and SG Marina Bay Jumpshot (SGP), led by Austrian excitement machine Filip Kramer.
