Paresh Rawal Responds to Hera Pheri 3 Legal Dispute

Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has addressed the ongoing legal dispute with Cape of Good Films following his departure from Hera Pheri 3. This controversy has garnered significant attention, especially given Rawal's role as Babu Bhaiya in the beloved Hera Pheri franchise.
Rawal took to X (formerly Twitter) to state that his lawyer, Ameet Naik, has sent an appropriate response regarding his termination and exit, suggesting the issues will soon be resolved. A source informed Bollywood Hungama that Rawal has returned the signing amount of Rs 11 lakhs with 15% annual interest, along with additional money for stepping away from the series. The initial agreement stipulated that Rawal's total fees were locked at Rs 15 crores, with the balance of Rs 14.89 crores to be paid one month after the film's release.
Concerns arose because the principal shoot was scheduled for the following year, making the release of Hera Pheri 3 unlikely before late 2026 or 2027. This meant Rawal would have had to wait approximately two years to receive the rest of his acting fees. The initial processes for the film had been completed with Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel Shetty. Rawal’s exit shocked fans and created uncertainty for the production.
Filmmaker Priyadarshan and co-star Suniel Shetty have both publicly expressed their disappointment over the exit. As legal documents are exchanged and public statements are made, Paresh Rawal is standing firm on his decision, hoping for a swift resolution. While there are reports of Pankaj Tripathi being considered for recasting, some fans are hoping for a resolution with Rawal to retain him in the role.
