This year’s edition, organised by the Mathematical Association of Botswana (MAB) between June 10 and 15, had 23 countries in attendance.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Fevzullah Bilgin, the managing director of NTIC, expressed satisfaction at the performance of the student at the regional competition.
“Oghenerukevwe Esemidtoje was one of the three male students selected to represent Nigeria at the weeklong event in the boys’ category,” the statement reads.
“Mathematical brilliance meets disciplined preparation; our student brings a silver medal from PAMO 2025. NTIC is proud. NTIC is the right environment for learning.
“At Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC), we are committed to providing a world-class education that sets us apart as the best school in Nigeria.
“With a track record of excellence spanning over two decades, we combine innovative teaching, state-of-the-art facilities, and a nurturing environment to ensure our students excel academically and grow into well-rounded individuals.
“We prepare our students not just for exams, but for life beyond. If you’re looking for a school that nurtures greatness, NTIC is the place to be.”
Speaking on the feat, Esemitodje said winning the medal is a rewarding experience for his years of hard work and preparation.
“I want to thank God for this achievement and Nigerian Tulip International Colleges for all the support, the training, and resources given over the years to achieve this,” he said.
“I also want to say thank you to my parents and teachers, who were my motivators throughout the period. I believe that NTIC is the best place for mathematics excellence.”
The PAMO is an annual event organised by the African Mathematical Union (AMU) with the objective to encourage talent and exchange information on curricula and teaching methods in mathematics across the African continent.
PAMO is an activity of the African Mathematical Union Commission on Pan African Mathematics Olympiads (AMUPAMOC) created in 1986, 10 years after the creation of the African Mathematical Union (AMU) in Morocco in 1976.
