Otuaro Declares Tinubu Has Ignited Nigeria's Economic Revival!

The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, has affirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is steering Nigeria towards economic recovery within three years of his administration. Marking the president’s third-year anniversary, Otuaro lauded Tinubu as a “courageous and transformative leader” who is diligently implementing the Renewed Hope Agenda to tackle Nigeria’s multifaceted challenges. He highlighted the administration's significant accomplishments through robust economic reforms and strategic governance decisions, all geared towards economic stabilisation and enhancing citizens' welfare. According to Otuaro, these policies have successfully repositioned Nigeria for renewed socio-political advancement and widespread prosperity, asserting that the nation is now firmly on a path to recovery.

Otuaro further elaborated on the positive impact of President Tinubu’s leadership on Nigeria's international standing. He noted that Tinubu's extensive diplomatic engagements and cultivation of international partnerships have significantly bolstered investor confidence, drawing crucial foreign direct investment into the country. Consequently, Nigeria has experienced a resurgence of respect within the global community under the current administration.

Significant progress has also been observed in the security sector, particularly within the Niger Delta region. Otuaro pointed out that enhanced collaboration between security agencies and private contractors has been instrumental in curbing incidents of pipeline vandalism and oil theft. This concerted effort has yielded tangible results, contributing to a notable increase in crude oil production, which rose from approximately 1.4 million barrels per day in 2023 to an estimated 1.8 million barrels per day.

The PAP boss also extended commendation to President Tinubu for his unwavering support of the Presidential Amnesty Programme. This support, Otuaro stated, has invigorated peacebuilding initiatives across the Niger Delta. The programme has seen an expansion in its offerings, including educational scholarships, vocational training, and various reintegration initiatives specifically designed for ex-agitators. Furthermore, Otuaro underscored the administration's commitment to regional development through major infrastructure projects. He cited the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, the South-South Development Commission, the Federal University of Environment and Technology in Ogoniland, and the Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko, as pivotal drivers for progress in the region.

Concluding his remarks, Otuaro highlighted President Tinubu’s recent emergence as the APC presidential candidate for the 2027 elections, interpreting this as a strong testament to the confidence placed in his leadership and policies. He urged all stakeholders in the Niger Delta to continue their support for the president, actively backing his re-election campaign in 2027 to ensure the sustained consolidation of ongoing reforms and development efforts.
