“Heidi” dazzles with an array of skin-tight silhouettes, weaving together bold blacks and electrifying colours. The collection features beloved jersey pieces and printed mesh dresses and tops that have defined the Ottolinger aesthetic. It also ventures into an exciting exploration of tailoring, presenting deconstructed, reworked, and layered garments that challenge conventional shape and form. Head-to-toe denim ensembles gleamed with a shine that could easily be mistaken for wax while striking painted latex dresses and leggings rounded out the lineup with flair.
At the heart of this movement is the visionary duo behind Ottolinger, Swiss designers Christa Boesch and Cosima Gadient. Since its inception in 2015, after their fateful meeting at the Basel School of Design, the label’s direction has been anything but ordinary. Now firmly entrenched in Berlin’s fashion scene, Ottolinger’s raw, subversive style continues to captivate the industry and build a devoted following. Their approach manipulates classic styles through techniques such as bleaching, rubber-dipping, and thorough deconstruction, resulting in a wardrobe that defies expectations and celebrates individuality.
“Heidi” is not just a collection; it’s a bold statement on the freedom of self-expression and an invitation to step outside the conventional boundaries of luxury fashion. And let us be clear, we love it.
