Your Ultimate Guide to Tonight's Ceremony And How to Watch in Nigeria!

The 98th Academy Awards are set to deliver a night of glamour and major cinematic moments as host Conan O’Brien returns for the second consecutive year.

Viewers across Nigeria and other parts of Africa can watch the ceremony live on DStv Channel 101 (M-Net), with the Red Carpet Live special starting at 11:30 PM WAT on March 16, followed by the main ceremony at midnight.

The event will also be available via the DStv Stream app for online viewers, while a repeat broadcast will air on M-Net on March 21 at 9:00 PM.

This year’s competition is particularly fierce, with Ryan Coogler’s film Sinners leading the nominations with a record-breaking 16 nods, followed by Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another with 13 nominations.

A major highlight of the night is the Best Supporting Actress nomination for Wunmi Mosaku for her performance as Annie in Sinners, marking her first Academy Award nomination after notable wins at the BAFTA Awards and NAACP Image Awards.

The ceremony will feature a star-studded lineup of presenters including Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Paul Mescal, Robert Downey Jr., Nicole Kidman, and Pedro Pascal.

Entertainment highlights include a possible reunion of the cast of Bridesmaids, Rose Byrne, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, and Melissa McCarthy to celebrate the film’s 15th anniversary, alongside musical performances such as “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters and a tribute performance of “I Lied To You” from Sinners featuring Raphael Saadiq and Misty Copeland.
