"Kwa majina ni Anne Were, msichana kutoka meru. Mheshimiwa amenijengea hapa ata hajalala kwa iyo nyumba (My name is Anne Were, a girl from Meru. The honourable (leader) built this house for me, and he hasn't even slept in it.)
Mourners present at the ceremony consoled her.
Were's first wife Margaret revealed that her husband and the governor were really close, and he named his animals after her.
"I am Mrs Were Margaret, I want to thank you madam governor. You have stood by us. There is nothing I can give you. I know the MP was your friend. It got to a point when a cow gives birth its named Wanga. We have a calf here named Wanga."
