Regardless, if you want to give the Batman Arkham trilogy a shot, you can do so right now for 85% off. That's a cool $9 for three really excellent games, and honestly, if you've never played them, I really recommend you snap them up if you have any money left over from the Steam Summer Sale.

The Batman Arkham trilogy is an interesting one. It starts with Arkham Asylum, which is quite a close-knit game with limited exploration, but a huge emphasis on story and escalating the tension as the story progresses. Arkham City then gives you a little more to explore after Batman is put into a section of Arkham converted into a "prison city," and you have to make your way back out. Finally, Arkham Knight opens up all of the city, and you're free to explore and roam to your heart's content.

Because of this progress, playing the trilogy doesn't feel like you're replaying the same game three times over. As the series progresses, the world opens up more, and things get bigger and bolder. That doesn't mean that Arkham Asylum is a stinker, though; in fact, given its more closed and restricted nature, the developers instead crafted a very engaging story that the other two don't quite match up to.

So, regardless of whether you're more into story or a big open world, this trilogy has something for you. Pop over to the Batman: Arkham Collection page and snag the lot for $9 until July 17th. Just don't go too mad getting all the Riddler trophies; I don't think even I quite got them all.
