The scam was allegedly masterminded by two women who instructed fans to use copies of the same ticket and showed them a specific mark drawn on their hands. Fans were directed to a disabled door at Entrance M, where, after a perfunctory scan of the identical tickets, they were issued golden circle wristbands, seemingly without any security searches. While some fans reported paying a small deposit via Monzo and completing the full payment inside the stadium, many reportedly failed to transfer the promised funds.
