Oasis Reunion Roars On! Band Teases Explosive 2026 Comeback After Crushing UK Tour

Oasis recently concluded the U.K. and Ireland leg of their highly anticipated Live '25 reunion tour, performing two final shows at Wembley Stadium on Saturday and Sunday, September 27th and 28th. These concerts marked the culmination of the local run, which originally kicked off in Cardiff, Wales, on July 4th, with subsequent stops in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin, concluding its initial segment in mid-August. The additional Wembley dates were announced following significant fan outcry regarding a controversial ticket sale process in August 2024, described by the band as a gesture to “make amends for the situation.”
The possibility of further shows has been heavily hinted at by frontman Liam Gallagher. As the Saturday Wembley performance ended with “Champagne Supernova,” Gallagher thanked the audience for their unwavering support, stating, “see you next year.” This comment has intensified long-standing rumors that Oasis intends to tour the U.K. again in 2026, with speculation particularly focused on potential concerts at Knebworth House. Such an event would honor their legendary 1996 performances there, which attracted 250,000 people and set a record for the largest U.K. concerts at the time.
Despite the fan enthusiasm and Liam’s teasing, the band has maintained a guarded stance on future plans. Noel Gallagher, when questioned in a rare interview on TalkSport, explicitly declined to comment on the rumors surrounding additional shows. Furthermore, co-manager Alan McKinlay offered a contrasting perspective in a May interview with MusicWeek, asserting that this reunion was “very much the last time around, as Noel’s made clear in the press.” McKinlay also clarified, “It’s a chance for fans who haven’t seen the band to see them, or at least for some of them to. And no, there’s no plan for any new music.”
Liam Gallagher swiftly disputed McKinlay’s remarks on his X/Twitter profile, declaring, “the only people that will be making any kind of decisions on the future of OASIS will be ME n RKID so let’s just take it one day at a time.” This exchange highlights the ongoing dynamic within the band regarding their future trajectory. The Wembley Stadium shows featured an identical setlist to those played throughout the U.K. and Ireland leg, maintaining consistency from the opening night in Cardiff.
Beyond their domestic performances, Oasis had previously completed their North American tour segment, which concluded in Mexico City on September 13th, following engagements in Toronto, East Rutherford, Chicago, and Los Angeles. The Live ‘25 global tour is set to resume internationally on October 21st in Seoul, South Korea, before proceeding to Tokyo, and then to various dates across Australia and Latin America. The extensive outing is scheduled to conclude on November 23rd in São Paulo, Brazil.
