Nuggets' Braun Sidelined for 6 Weeks with Ankle Injury

Denver Nuggets forward Christian Braun is slated for reevaluation in six weeks following a left ankle sprain he sustained during Wednesday night's victory against the LA Clippers, the team officially announced on Friday. The incident occurred in the first quarter when Clippers guard James Harden inadvertently stepped on Braun's right foot, causing him to land awkwardly and injure his left ankle.
Despite the injury, Braun briefly returned to the court in the second quarter. However, it was evident he was hobbled by the injury, and he did not participate in the second half of the game. Subsequent medical tests confirmed that Braun had indeed suffered a sprain to his left ankle.
This injury comes at a crucial time for the Nuggets, as they are scheduled to play 17 games over the next six weeks. Christian Braun has emerged as a significant contributor to Denver's rotation, frequently tasked with defending the opposing team's top offensive players. Prior to his injury, he was averaging 11.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.0 assists through the Nuggets' first 11 games of the season.
