The Northern Awareness Network (NAN) has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Dr. Yazeed Shehu Danfulani as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), describing the move as a strategic step toward youth empowerment and agricultural sustainability.

In a statement issued on Friday, Chairman of NAN, Salifu Suleiman, noted that the appointment reflects the President’s resolve to entrust capable young Nigerians with key leadership roles.
He said Dr. Danfulani embodies the innovation, resilience, and commitment necessary to revamp the country’s agricultural insurance landscape.

“His experience and deep understanding of the agricultural sector come at a crucial time when Nigeria must strengthen food security and protect farmers against increasing climate risks,” the statement read.

NAN highlighted Danfulani’s standing as a rising figure in modern Zamfara politics and expressed confidence that his leadership would drive NAIC toward expanded reach, improved insurance products, and greater operational efficiency.

The group also called on other sectors to emulate the Tinubu administration by empowering qualified youth to contribute meaningfully to national development.

“As we congratulate Dr. Danfulani, we urge him to bring the same passion and dedication that have defined his public service to his new role,” the statement added.
