NOA Bayelsa State Director visits Muslim community
In a bid to strengthen ties and foster inclusive stakeholder engagement, the new State Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) Bayelsa State Directorate, Mrs. Olobio Grace, led a high-powered delegation on a familiarisation visit to the Muslim community in Bayelsa State.
The visit was part of the directorate’s efforts to reinforce collaboration with all key groups in the state. Olobio, while addressing the Muslim community, described them as “critical stakeholders in the pursuit of national unity, peace, and development.
“It is only proper that I formally introduce myself to you as the new State Director of NOA Bayelsa.
“The agency is committed to engaging with all communities and ensuring that our programmes and initiatives reflect the inclusiveness and diversity of our society. The Muslim community in Bayelsa is a valued partner, and we will continue to work closely with you in promoting the values of patriotism, peaceful coexistence, and responsible citizenship,” Olobido said.
Olobio was accompanied by members of her management team, who were warmly received by the leadership of the Muslim community. In his remarks, the Chairman of the Muslim community in Bayelsa, Alhaji Yakubu Otobo, expressed appreciation for the visit and welcomed the new director.
“We are honoured by your visit and encouraged by your commitment to work with us. On behalf of the entire Muslim community in Bayelsa, I assure you of our total commitment to the NOA and its activities. Whenever we are called upon, we will respond and collaborate in any way necessary to move the state and the nation forward.”
The visit concluded with prayers for continued peace and progress in Bayelsa State and the nation at large.
