Wizkid Leads the Pack as Nigeria’s Most-Streamed Artiste on Spotify’s 2025 Wrapped
Spotify’s latest Wrapped report has placed Wizkid at the top of Nigeria’s streaming landscape for 2025, reaffirming his status as a powerhouse in Afrobeats. The platform’s annual ranking shows him leading a fiercely competitive year, followed by Seyi Vibez and Asake, who secured the second and third positions respectively. The report adds to a growing archive of Afrobeats data available on Spotify’s newsroom and platforms like Billboard.
Wizkid’s dominance extended beyond singles as his album Morayo finished the year as Nigeria’s most-streamed project on Spotify. The album also topped Apple Music’s 2025 Sub-Saharan Africa chart, highlighting the project’s regional impact across multiple platforms including Apple Music and Rolling Stone’s global album trackers.
Davido also made significant waves, with his album 5ive landing the second spot on Nigeria’s most-streamed albums list. His collaboration with Omah Lay, With You, emerged as the country’s No. 1 most-streamed song of 2025 — a standout hit that continued to lead playlists nationwide.
On the global stage, Burna Boy maintained his long-held title as Nigeria’s most-exported artiste, reflecting his continued reach in international markets. Among female artistes, Ayra Starr once again led the field as Nigeria’s most-streamed woman on Spotify, joined by Tems, Smur Lee, Tiwa Savage, and gospel sensation Sunmisola, illustrating the depth of talent within Nigeria’s women-led music scene.
