Mudimba's wife penned a touching tribute to him, noting that losing him is the hardest thing that has ever happened to her.

"With a broken heart, I say goodbye to the love of my life. There are losses that can never be replaced, and losing you is the hardest thing I will ever face. I wasn't ready to say goodbye- I would never have been. I would give you anything for one moment, one more embrace, but I hold on to the love you so freely gave me.

She recalled the moments Mudimba would feel their unborn child and pray for its protection.

"I will never forget how you rested your hand on my belly and prayed over our unborn child, speaking love and protection into the life we created together. In those moments, I saw your heart in its purest form filled with love and devotion," she wrote in part.

The grief-stricken widow described her husband as her best friend, confidant and romantic gentleman, reminiscing about how he would drop her off at work and pick her back home.

"Thank you for loving me the way you did, for showing me what true devotion looks like and for leaving behind a love so strong that not even time can erase will carry you with me always. In our child's laughter, in the stories I will tell, in the songs we will sing and in every beat of my heart. With all my love and forever,"

The Lang'ata MP paid an emotional tribute to the seasoned journalist during his requiem mass.

Jalang'o showered his close friend with love, describing him as a true friend. The politician also reflected on their shared dreams.

The former radio presenter talked about how most of the people from their village are doctors and lawyers, they (he and Mudimba) had vowed to match their villagemates.

Jalang'o admitted his friend's death hit him the hardest.
