NFL Draft: Jets Take Edge Rusher Bailey at No. 2; Giants Land Reese and Mauigoa
The New York Jets used the second overall pick on Texas Tech edge rusher David Bailey, who led the FBS with 14.5 sacks and posted a 4.5-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.
The Jets followed by selecting Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq at No. 16 and traded up for Indiana receiver Omar Cooper Jr. at No. 30. Full draft results are tracked onNFL.com.
The New York Giants selected Ohio State linebacker Arvell Reese at No. 5, surprising many analysts who projected him to go earlier and added Miami offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa at No. 10 to anchor the interior of their offensive line.
Mauigoa, 20, is expected to begin his career at right guard and immediately committed to protecting new starting quarterback Jaxson Dart.
