Sicily’s leading olive oil brand to showcase its two Gold and one Silver NYIOOC-awarded extra virgin olive oils, alongside full product line at booth #3230, Level 3

– At this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show, Bono — Sicily’s largest producer of extra virgin olive oil — will be featuring its Sicilian Organic Val di Mazara PDO, Sicilian Val Di Mazara PDO, and Italian Organic Bono Selection, all of which received top awards at the prestigious NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The award-winning olive oils will be showcased alongside Bono’s full line of organic marmalades, Sicilian olives, Calabrian peppers, and additional specialty products for attendees to discover and enjoy.

“We are proud to have three of our premium extra virgin olive oils recognized by the NYIOOC – the gold standard in our industry – and we look forward to showcasing them along with our full product line at the Summer Fancy Food Show,” said “It’s an honor return to the SFFS, and we invite buyers and other attendees to come by our booth to experience the authentic Sicilian flavors that set our products apart.”

Bono’s Sicilian Organic Val di Mazara PDO and Bono’s Sicilian Val Di Mazara PDO earned Gold Awards from the NYIOOC this year, while the Italian Organic Bono Selection received a Silver Award. The three olive oils are crafted from the finest blend of olives, each offering a distinctive flavor profile that reflects the richness of their regional origins.

The Specialty Food Association’s sofiTM Awards, also known as the “Oscars of Specialty Food,” have also recognized Bono’s products. The prestigious honor awarded Bono’s Sicilian Castelvetrano Pitted Green Olives with Gold in 2024, Sicilian Blood Orange Marmalade with Gold in 2020, and Sicilian Val Di Mazara PDO Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil with Bronze and Best New EVOO in 2018.

As a family-run business, Bono has earned a reputation for providing the highest quality, authentic products – from its extra virgin olive oil to the olives themselves – offering a genuine taste of Sicily. Bono was also recently named the best extra virgin olive oil by Parade Magazine.

The brand’s full range of products are available at select supermarkets – such as Whole Foods, Wegman’s, Stop & Shop, ShopRite, The Fresh Market, and more – specialty stores like Eataly, and Amazon. For exact locations, visit the Bono store locator.

Established in 1934, Bono is Sicily’s largest producer of authentic extra virgin olive oil (EVOO). The family-owned company is based in Sciacca – located in the Val Di Mazara – a region coveted for its terroir and considered one of the best in the world to produce high-quality EVOO. Bono also owns multiple facilities across Sicily and Italy, with its U.S. division and distribution center based in Landing, NJ.

Bono’s core mission is to focus on regionality, sustainability and innovation through certifications for all its products. Our award-winning EVOOs come with six different certifications: PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) or PGI (Protected Geographical Indication), USDA Organic, Clean Label Project, OU Kosher, Gluten Free and NON-GMO. Bono’s PDO and PGI EVOOs receive their own unique serial numbers, which are traceable to the exact farm and olives used, ensuring full production transparency. The company’s collection of fine Italian products also includes a full line of Sicilian and Italian Table Olives, Tuscan-Crafted Pasta Sauces, Sicilian Marmalade, and Calabrese Peppers. All Bono products originate from a particular region with the belief that what grows together, goes together. We believe in taking what is best from each region and portraying this in our award-winning line of products.
