Glow, a cutting-edge cybersecurity startup established by former executives from tech giants Meta and Snowflake, has officially emerged from stealth mode, achieving unicorn status with a valuation of $1.2 billion. The Palo Alto-headquartered company announced on Wednesday that it successfully secured $180 million in an all-equity Series A funding round. This significant investment round saw participation from prominent venture capital firms including Sequoia Capital, Cyberstarts, Greenoaks, and Redpoint Ventures, with additional backing from Index Ventures, Swish Ventures, Lux Capital, Operator Collective, and Holly Ventures.
This achievement positions Glow as one of the latest cybersecurity startups to reach unicorn status prior to publicly disclosing its revenue metrics. The company's emergence comes at a pivotal time when artificial intelligence is fundamentally reshaping how enterprises approach the security of employee devices and broader endpoints. As businesses increasingly integrate AI tools into their operations, and attackers leverage generative AI to automate sophisticated cyberattacks, including phishing and malware development, the imperative for robust endpoint security has intensified.
Concerns have been further amplified following Anthropic's unveiling of its Mythos AI model, which demonstrated advanced capabilities in identifying and exploiting software vulnerabilities. This development has sparked a wider debate about the potential for AI-assisted cyberattacks and the necessity for innovative defensive strategies. Glow's core bet is that these evolving threats demand an entirely new approach to endpoint security.
Founded in 2025, Glow is developing a specialized endpoint security platform designed to help enterprises comprehensively monitor and control the software, AI agents, and developer tools operating on employee devices. The platform employs specialized AI agents that continuously map enterprise environments, assess risks in real time, and rigorously enforce security policies. Roi Tiger, co-founder and chief executive, highlighted this shift, stating, “If you think of the past decade, everything was moving to the cloud and SaaS. Suddenly, AI lands on the endpoint in a way we’ve never seen.”
The experienced leadership team at Glow includes Tiger, a former Meta vice president of engineering; Omer Singer, former head of cybersecurity strategy at Snowflake; Ophir Arie, former vice president of research and development at Claroty; and Arnon Joseph, another former engineering leader from Meta. Emily Heath, former chief information security officer at United Airlines and DocuSign, and a partner at Cyberstarts, serves as the chief operating officer, bringing extensive industry experience to the team.
Despite only recently emerging from stealth, Glow has already secured paying customers across diverse sectors such as healthcare, retail, and financial services, though specific names and numbers were not disclosed. Tiger noted that typical deployments for Glow's platform span tens of thousands of employee devices within global organizations. To power its robust platform, Glow integrates AI models from Anthropic and Google's Gemini via Amazon Bedrock, while also developing its own proprietary software to provide these models with crucial enterprise context and enhance their reliability for critical security tasks.
Glow's platform has already demonstrated its effectiveness by preventing malicious npm packages—third-party software components crucial for application development—from being installed in customer environments. It has also identified AI agents attempting to introduce such software and detected employee devices where endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools were either missing or operating with reduced functionality.
The startup is entering a highly competitive endpoint security market, currently dominated by established players such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft, SentinelOne, and Palo Alto Networks. Tiger emphasizes that Glow's unique selling proposition lies in its proactive, preventive approach. Unlike existing EDR products that primarily focus on detecting threats *after* they have emerged, Glow is engineered to prevent risky software, AI agents, and developer tools from ever entering enterprise environments in the first place.
Glow currently employs nearly 100 people, with approximately 70% of its workforce based in Israel and the remaining employees in the U.S. While the full extent to which AI-native endpoint security platforms will carve out a distinct category remains to be seen, as enterprises are still grappling with the complex security implications of increasingly powerful AI models, Glow is positioning itself at the forefront of this evolving landscape.
