New M5 MacBook Pro Unlocks Daily Payment Plan for Apple Enthusiasts

The latest generation of Apple's high-performance devices, the new MacBook Pro and iPad Pro, have officially launched in UK retailers, generating significant excitement among tech enthusiasts. These cutting-edge products are powered by Apple's most advanced M5 chip, which introduces a new era of computational power and efficiency. The M5 chip is distinguished by its next-generation 10-core GPU, with each core integrating a Neural Accelerator. This sophisticated architecture allows for a remarkable leap in artificial intelligence processing, delivering up to 3.5 times faster AI performance compared to the previous M4 processor and an astonishing six times faster performance than the original M1 chip. Furthermore, Apple states that these devices offer up to 15% faster multithreaded CPU performance and up to 30% faster overall graphics performance, ensuring a seamless and powerful user experience for demanding tasks.
As expected for such premium technology, these new devices come with a substantial price tag. The iPad Pro starts from £999, while the MacBook Pro begins at £1,599. However, consumers have options to manage the cost, with various payment plans available. For instance, customers eager to acquire the new MacBook Pro can pre-order it through Sky's financing plan. This plan offers the 512GB model for £35 a month plus a £7 upfront fee, effectively working out to approximately £1.15 a day over a four-year contract. Those requiring greater storage capacity can opt for the 1TB model, priced at £39 a month with a £22 upfront fee, which translates to about £1.30 a day. The iPad Pro is also available through similar spread-the-cost options, such as £27 a month.
While the M5-equipped devices represent the pinnacle of Apple's current technology, there are also excellent alternatives for consumers who may not require the absolute latest specifications or prefer a more budget-friendly option. For instance, the MacBook Air, featuring the older but still very capable M4 chip, is available for £879, providing robust power and performance for everyday use. Very also stocks the new iPad Pro for £999 for those seeking a new tablet.
Early reviews of the new MacBook Pro have been overwhelmingly positive. Tech experts at the Daily Express, who had the opportunity to test the device, were highly impressed by its power and performance. Tech editor David Snelling lauded it as a "fabulous laptop." He also offered a pragmatic perspective, advising that owners of M3 or M4 machines need not "panic," as those models remain "stunning laptops that offer oodles of oomph." Snelling highlighted that the M5 generation primarily focuses on "extra grunt and faster storage," as there are no significant design changes this year, nor has Apple introduced new features like touch screens, better Wi-Fi, or 5G connectivity. He concluded that "If you really need an upgrade, then you can't go wrong with the MacBook Pro M5 - it's a brilliant laptop that's very tough to beat."
Despite the impressive advancements, there is one notable drawback: Apple has chosen to exclude the power adapter from the package for these new devices. This decision means purchasers will incur an additional expense to acquire a compatible charger, a factor to consider in the overall cost of ownership.
