Netflix’s Animated Hit KPop Demon Hunters Gifts Fans an Exclusive Digital Artbook

The animated Netflix film KPop Demon Hunters has soared to extraordinary success since its debut on June 20, 2025, positioning itself as a serious Oscar contender and earning five Grammy nominations for its celebrated soundtrack. Critics gave the film a Certified Fresh rating of 96%, while audiences awarded it a Verified Fresh score of 99% on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie also grossed over $25 million during its limited theatrical release and dominated the Netflix Top 10 for 23 consecutive weeks. Its music has racked up impressive streaming numbers on platforms such as Spotify. Following this success, Netflix has confirmed a sequel, scheduled for release in 2029.
To thrill its dedicated fanbase, Netflix unveiled a special digital artbook titled The Art of KPop Demon Hunters. This 142-page collection delves into the film’s creative process, featuring behind-the-scenes concept art, storyboards, and never-before-seen images. Fans can explore alternative designs for characters like Huntr/x and Jinu, showcasing early artistic choices that differ from their final on-screen appearances. The digital version is freely available on the Netflix website and includes an interactive soundtrack experience. Physical copies will be available for pre-order on January 1, 2026, priced at $29.95.
The KPop Demon Hunters phenomenon extends beyond film into official merchandise aimed at fans of the story and its music groups. Funko has opened pre-orders for figures including Huntr/x, Jinu, and Derpie with Sussie, while Mattel previously offered a doll line featuring the Huntr/x girls in their iconic “What It Sounds Like” outfits. Netflix’s official merchandise store now features a broad range of products, including clothing, accessories, notebooks, ornaments, and even lightsticks for both Huntr/x and Saja Boys. Physical copies of the soundtrack also include a randomized photocard of one of the Huntr/x members, adding a collectible surprise element.
Directed by Chris Appelhans and Maggie Kang, and written by Appelhans, Kang, Hannah McMechan, and Danya Jimenez, KPop Demon Hunters is a PG-rated animated feature with a runtime of 96 minutes. Produced by Aron Warner, the film spans Animation, Fantasy, Action, Comedy, Music, and Family genres. Voice talents include Arden Cho as Rumi and May Hong as Mira, bringing the vibrant characters to life.
