Kicking off 2026, Harlan Coben's series "Run Away" garnered an impressive 40 million views, even surpassing the popular "Stranger Things" in viewership charts. Following this, Coben's subsequent thriller, "I Will Find You," despite facing criticism from fans, has delivered an even stronger streaming performance. This divisive series is now in contention for Netflix's most-watched crime drama of the year, a title currently held by "His & Hers," which stars Jon Bernthal and Tessa Thompson.
Given the continued dominance of crime dramas on its platform, Netflix is expanding its offerings in the genre. As part of its latest catalog reshuffle, the streamer is officially adding Paramount+'s acclaimed crime drama "MobLand" to its international library. "MobLand," which features a starry ensemble cast including Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren, has been a significant streaming success since its debut in March 2025. It has consistently ranked among the most-watched shows, even during periods when no new episodes were being released.
The series' impressive staying power is particularly notable considering the fierce competition within Paramount's crime drama landscape, dominated by Taylor Sheridan's hits such as "Tulsa King," "Mayor of Kingstown," and more recently, "Marshals" and "Dutton Ranch." Despite these strong contenders, "MobLand" has continued to hold its own, frequently reappearing on streaming charts even more than a year after its Season 1 finale.
Directed by Guy Ritchie and created by Ronan Bennett, "MobLand" centers on Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza, a fixer working for the powerful Harrigan crime family in London. When a long-standing feud with a rival syndicate threatens to escalate into an all-out gang war, Harry must leverage his street smarts and ruthless efficiency to maintain control. Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren portray the heads of the Harrigan empire, with "House of the Dragon" star Paddy Considine cast as Kevin Harrigan, the patriarch's son.
